Die CompTIA Server+-Zertifizierung ist ein branchenweit anerkannter, anbieterneutraler Nachweis für Netzwerkprofis. Die Zertifizierung ist ein Nachweis der Kompetenz einer Person in einem breiten Spektrum von Serverproblemen und -technologien, einschließlich Notfallwiederherstellung, und weist Kenntnisse über Server, Hardware und Software nach.

Die CompTIA Server+-Zertifizierungsprüfung ist eine eigenständige Zertifizierung von CompTIA mit dem Prüfungscode SK0-002.
Die Zertifizierung richtet sich an technische Supportprofis, die über Kenntnisse in Bereichen wie RAID, SCSI und mehreren CPUs sowie über Fähigkeiten im Umgang mit Serverproblemen, einschließlich Notfallwiederherstellung, verfügen. Die Prüfung umfasst Systemhardware, -software, -speicher, IT-Umgebung, Notfallwiederherstellung und Fehlerbehebung. Der neue Code der Prüfung ist SK0-003

Die Prüfung besteht aus linearen, faktenbasierten Multiple-Choice-Fragen.
Obwohl es keine offiziellen Voraussetzungen für die Server+-Zertifizierung gibt, empfehlen sowohl CompTIA als auch uCertify dringend, dass der Kandidat über 18 bis 24 Monate Erfahrung in der Servertechnologie sowie über eine CompTIA A+-Zertifizierung verfügt. .

Für den Fall, dass Sie Ihren ersten Versuch, die Server+-Zertifizierung zu bestehen, nicht bestehen, gelten bei CompTIA folgende Wiederholungsrichtlinien:
- CompTIA verlangt keine Wartezeit zwischen dem ersten und zweiten Versuch, eine solche Prüfung zu bestehen. Vor Ihrem dritten oder jedem weiteren Versuch, eine solche Prüfung zu bestehen, müssen Sie jedoch ab dem Datum Ihres letzten Versuchs, eine solche Prüfung zu bestehen, mindestens vierzehn Kalendertage warten.
- Wenn ein Kandidat eine Prüfung bestanden hat, kann er/sie diese ohne vorherige Zustimmung von CompTIA nicht wiederholen.
- Ein Testergebnis, das gegen die Wiederholungsrichtlinie verstößt, wird nicht bearbeitet, was dazu führt, dass für den absolvierten Test keine Punkte vergeben werden. Wiederholte Verstöße führen zum Ausschluss von der Teilnahme am CompTIA-Zertifizierungsprogramm.
- Kandidaten müssen bei jedem Prüfungsversuch die Prüfungsgebühr bezahlen. CompTIA bietet keine kostenlosen Wiederholungsprüfungen oder Rabatte auf Wiederholungsprüfungen an.
Die CompTIA Server+-Zertifizierungsprüfung ist nicht mehr verfügbar. Kandidaten können die Prüfung mit dem neuen Prüfungscode SY0-003 ablegen.
